RWJ Rahway Hospital Medical Coverage
Regular full-time and regular part-time employees are eligible for medical coverage on the first of the month after three (3) full months of benefits-eligible employment. We offer Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) insurance with three (3) levels of coverage: Inner Circle, Network, and Out-of-Network.

RWJ Rahway Hospital Prescription Coverage
Regular full-time and regular part-time employees are eligible on the first of the month after three (3) full months of benefits-eligible employment. We offer pharmacy with co-insurance and a mail-order plan with co-pay.

Dental Coverage
Regular full-time and regular part-time employees are eligible on the first of the month after three (3) full months of benefits-eligible employment. We offer two PPO network plans and one managed care dental plan.

Long-Term Disability (LTD)
Regular full-time and regular part-time employees are eligible for hospital-paid long-term disability benefits after a waiting period is satisfied.

Voluntary LTD
Voluntary LTD is available beginning the first of the month following 90 days of employment for eligible employees at their own cost until the hospital benefit begins.   

Life & Accidental Death
We offer hospital-provided coverage. Coverage is provided to eligible regular full-time and part-time staff. 

Additional Life Insurance
Additional coverage is available for yourself, your spouse, and your children on a voluntary, payroll deduction basis.

RWJ Rahway Hospital Flexible Spending Account
Healthcare Spending Account (optional); Dependent Day Care Spending (optional). Both are pre-tax.  

403(b) Plan
All employees are eligible to contribute to a 403(b) Plan from date of hire. That contribution is matched by the hospital after one full calendar year and 1,000 hours of service are completed.  


Other Employee Benefits
Employees receive Paid Time Off (PTO), tuition assistance, employee assistance through an Employee Assistance Program, hospital credit union, direct deposit and service awards.
